Home Reversion
A home reversion plan enables you to sell all or part of your home in exchange for a cash lump sum or monthly income, or a mix of both of these. You can stay in your home until you permanently vacate the property, and should you wish to move home in the future you can take the scheme with you to the next property subject to certain conditions being met. At the end of the plan your property is sold and the sale proceeds are shared in accordance with proportions owned.
These schemes will traditionally release the maximum funds from all of the equity release options available and as such are normally utilised by those who wish to release a larger amount from the equity in their home. It is also popular as there is no interest payable which can enable you to protect a defined amount of equity for your estate.
An Equity Release plan will reduce the value of your estate and will not be suitable for everyone and may affect your entitlement to state benefits.
We normally charge a fee for equity release advice, however this will be dependent on your circumstances. There is no fee for an initial consultation and any fee payable will be explained in full prior to application.
